The carpets and rugs in your home or commercial spaces can sustain a fair amount of wear and tear over the years. Even when you look after your carpet carefully, you may start to see signs of damage approximately 3–5 years after it has been laid. By the 10-year mark, your carpet will almost certainly be showing its age.

That’s not to say your carpet reaches its ‘use-by date’ at that time. It’s possible to extend the lifespan of a stained or faded quality carpet or rug by applying a spot colour-correction treatment or even a full carpet colour change. These work wonderfully and are more cost-effective than replacing your carpet altogether.

Discolouration of your carpets or rugs can be caused by many factors, but it’s usually a result of spills accrued over many years – and attempts to remove the resulting stains. Bleach spots and colour damage can occur when a carpet is exposed to harsh chemicals, either by accident or when store-bought or DIY stain removal products are used.

Tuft & Weave’s specialised spot dyeing and full carpet colour change techniques can rejuvenate your carpet or rug and give you many more years of use.

Tuft & Weave delivers outstanding workmanship and an informative and trustworthy service.

Services We Offer

Sometimes the only way to remove a stubborn or permanent stain is to use products that are so strong they strip away the original colour from your rug or carpet. This is a necessary evil, but with our experience in colour repair we can re-dye the spot.

Bleached spots can occur from spills from bleach-based cleaning products, pet urine and even acne cream. If this has happened to your carpet or rug, we can repair the bleached spot.

Has your rug faded or lost colour from a bleach spill, home DIY attempt or by using other harsh cleaning methods? We can either spot dye your prized rug or change the colour completely.

Is your carpet or rug still in good condition, but faded or not the colour you like anymore? We can do a full colour change.

Our rug-spot and carpet dyeing process

We use a trusted spot carpet dyeing process to correct discolouration and restore your rug or carpet to its original colour.

First, we inspect the carpet or rug to ensure colour correction will work. Carpets and rugs made from wool or nylon can be recoloured easily. However, it’s not always possible to recolour carpets made from other fibres such as polypropylene, or carpets that are significantly worn or colour damaged.

We then delicately add and balance colour dyes to ensure spots are dyed to match the colour of the carpet. This complex procedure should only be attempted by a technician who has undergone extensive colour-repair training.

With our years of experience treating stained, bleached and faded carpets and rugs, we can deliver the right carpet dyeing solution for you.
